Dharamshala: The Student Council at Himachal Pradesh Central University is gearing up to host a spectacular cultural event named 'Anukriti' on May 20. This celebration will take place at the auditorium of the Government Degree College in Dharamshala.
The festivities will kick off at 11 am, featuring a colorful lineup of performances by students from the university. Attendees can look forward to traditional folk dances and songs representing various Indian states, highlighting the nation's rich cultural diversity.
Esteemed guests will honor the occasion, including Acharya Sat Prakash Bansal, the Vice-Chancellor of HP Central University, who will serve as the chief guest. Prof Nagesh Thakur, the former national president of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), will be the guest of honor, while Colonel KKS Dadwal, president of the Himachal Pradesh State War Memorial Development Society, will attend as a special guest.
Hemraj, a member of the Student Council and University Court, shared that the ABVP has successfully secured 19 out of 20 seats in the university student elections. Under their guidance, the Student Council is leading the organization of this significant event.
In the lead-up to the main event, several inter-campus competitions were conducted, including poster-making, speech contests, poetry recitation, and youth parliament sessions. Hemraj noted that students from all campuses participated with great enthusiasm in these activities.
